Our Flag

With recent events, we see our flag flying and being displayed everywhere we look.  It should be remembered that the Stars and Stripes should be displayed in a proper manner.  Here are links to sites that will give you more information on "Old Glory"

In 1914 the Smithsonian hired professional flag restorer Amelia Fowler to preserve the Star-Spangled Banner and prepare it for exhibition. During the War of 1812, it inspired Francis Scott Key to write the "Star-Spangled Banner," a poem that eventually was set to music and became the national anthem. You can view this flag, and many other treasures of U.S. culture, at the National Museum of American History.
