CONSTRUCTION WEEK OF 5/6/2024 - 5/10/2024:

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Notification

Construction activities for the week of May 6, 2024:
• This week, crews continued their efforts constructing the new 36” water main located near Jack’s Way, resulting in nearly 30 linear feet of newly installed pipeline.
o The crews also focused on the city’s new municipal 12” and 16” water lines at the Lake Street intersection, as well as additional supporting infrastructure, such as manholes and catch basins between Jack’s Way and Totten Pond Road.
o A third crew also addressed manhole covers, plating over structures, and the milling and grading of Lexington Street from Totten Pond Road to Curve Street in anticipation of full-width paving (anticipated to start the week of May 13th).
§ Please note that Lexington Street is a gravel road from Totten Pond Road to Curve Street.

• Next week, crews will work a normal schedule with the southbound Lexington Street detour in place, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00AM to 5:00PM, with potential for work later each day or on Friday should weather or other impacts cause the schedule to shift.
o The crews are expected to continue installing the new 36” pipe near Jack’s Way, including concrete vault structures, as well as sewer replacement work.
o Additional work will also include conducting water main tie-ins at cross streets north of Lake Street, and the completion of milling and grading work on Lexington Street up to Jack’s Way (there will be a gravel roadway between Totten Pond Road and Jack’s Way next week).
